Mash-Up Mondays // Basic Physics

Last post I featured mash-ups from The Hood Internet. Dope group that mixes indie with hip hop. Today we have Basic Physics.

Basic Physics is a group comin’ from up North, representing both Wisconsin and Minnesota. What makes their style unique from the millions of up and coming mash-up dj’s today is that they incorporate electronic/dubstep music into hip hop. Now that’s something I could vibe to.

All their tracks can be streamed and downloaded on their Facebook. Below are some standouts, but all of them are gems. Make sure you follow ’em on Twitter too.

Kryptonite in Cali (Big Boi x Rusko x Lil’ Scrappy) – Download

Butch Clancy

Alright, here is another up and coming producer who is going to make HUGE noise in 2011. He’s only 25, but he’s been making and writing his own music for 10+ years. My roommate originally turned me onto him, and after listening to Russian Lullaby, I was obsessed. He’s not your typical dubstep producer; he’s got a style that is all his own and it kicks some major ass. Here are some of his tracks, but check out his soundcloud for the full collection.

Needed Change ft. Skrillex – 12th Planet

Skrillex is on a TEAR right now. Every song he has released or lent his skills to has been crazy good. Here is another example of his amazing work with this collab with 12th Planet, a dubstep legend. This song goes hard so enjoy it at full volume.

Up in the club, up, up in the club…Terravita tears this track up.

Skream & Example – Shot Yourself In The Foot Again

Sick new track from two UK dubstep giants. Only a matter of time now before dubstep takes over our radios…this could lead the pack.

M.I.A. – Internet Connection (Flux Pavilion Remix)

flux
Flux Pavilion has dropped nothing but the best tracks in the past year. This is a remix of M.I.A.’s Internet Connection bonus track from her most recent album. It really kicks in at about a minute into the mix. This track is huge, enough said. Download
